My Hometown on Paper
This project was created while studying abroad in London. I took a day-long “Design Your Own Map” workshop with Lucia Vinti at The Design Museum in Kensington. Using a combination of hand-crafted drawings with my previous Adobe Photoshop skills, the workshop allowed me to combine my artistic talents in both the physical and digital world.
The final project, ““My Hometown on Paper”, is displayed below. I plan to use my artistic skills and mindset for future projects, especially when I can find ways to combine the physical elements of art with digital creation.
Comedy for a Cause
“Comedy for a Cause” is the event I created while taking Professional Writing and Technology Studio at Elon University. Professor Travis Maynard (who recently served as my PWR Internship advisor) asked our class to choose any subject so long as we could produce various forms of media about our chosen topic.
The Red Door Community is a non-profit organization that provides free cancer support. Since Gilda Radner inspired the work and mission of The Red Door Community, my project also focused on her legacy and career.
Below are three examples of “Comedy for a Cause“ and a mock-up magazine spread for The Red Door Community, their mission, history, and Gilda’s impact.
